FAQ
Why should I allow Construct Solutions to inspect my roof for damage?
A qualified contractor will be able to evaluate the damage and tell you whether it warrants filing an insurance claim or not. If you do not have your roof inspected prior to filing a claim and your insurance company denies the claim, your insurance record will forever show a claim even though the insurance company may not have actually paid. This claim will follow you even if you change insurance companies, since the industry now has a central database to record all claims.
What are the benefits of having Construct Solutions act as my advocate when dealing with my insurance company?
Our extensive knowledge and experience with insurance companies allows us to look out for your best interest and ensure all aspects of the damaged property, including collateral damage (which is most commonly overlooked), is included in the work scope for repair or replacement. Throughout the entire project we will work as your advocate by corresponding directly with the insurance companies, filing all required paperwork, and completing the inspections with the adjuster, while maintaining a constant open line of communication with you, the property owner.
Will my insurance rates go up if I file a claim?
Generally speaking, insurance companies raise rates in a given zip code based on the number of claims from that area. Therefore if a storm causes massive damage in your area your rates will go up regardless of whether you file a claim or not.
What happens if the insurance company denies my claim?
We can file for a readjustment with the insurance company. We will then meet with an adjuster to show them exactly where the damage has occurred.
How long does the claim process last?
It can vary greatly. On average, expect it to take around six weeks from start to finish.
Can Construct Solutions pay my deductible?
No.Offering to cover the cost of the deductible, giving a discount to replace the cost of the deductible, or offering an advertising discount by any contractor can be constituted as insurance fraud.
How can I tell a good contractor from a bad one?
Any good contractor can show you a list of current references, a copy of the General Contractor’s License, you can find their name registered in the Better Business Bureau, they can provide you with a copy of their current insurance (both worker’s comp and liability), and they should be able to speak intelligently about what you are having them inspect.
Is upgrading my shingles from a 25yr to a 30yr really worth the additional cost?
Yes, the most common shingle installed currently is a 30yr dimensional shingle. The shingle is heavier than a 25yr shingle, has 5 more years of the manufacturer’s warranty, and adds between $3,000-$5,000 more to your roofs value if you sell your home.
Will there be someone on the job to inspect the quality of the work being done?
Yes, each of our projects will have a project manager on site for the duration of the job. They are there to ensure the quality work is done to the highest standards and that everything is cleaned up when the job is complete.
What should I expect during construction?
As with any construction project, you should be prepared for the noise as well as several people moving around the property at various times. There will also be materials stacked in the driveway along with dumpsters/trailers with our equipment.
What states do you do work in?
We do storm restoration throughout the Midwestern States. We are currently licensed and bonded in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Pennsylvania Georgia and Missouri.
